When I was 18 I withdrew from school for a semester and went and volunteered in Africa. It was one of the most freeing adventures of my life. It was my first time really traveling alone. I raised baby lion cubs, taught english in a township, and taught surfing and soccer to young boys. I really got to know myself on this trip and this was the first time I really started trusting myself and my journey. I met the most incredible people, submerged myself in inspiring work and experienced the most beautiful culture. My sister married a man who lived in Cape Town, we were blessed enough to go visit them for Christmas. These photos are a reflection of my time in South Africa with my family. Unfortunately while I was there when I was 18, I only had a go pro I barely knew how to use :) Africa is apart of me forever and I will be back.
